Finnish-American architect and designer, Eero Saarinen (1910-1961) helped mold the mid-century modern design movement using his sweeping curves to shape the furniture of the future.
The mid century furniture designed by Eero Saarinen is some of the most recognizable tables and chairs to come out of the mid-1900's. He is especially known for his tulip style designs.
Born in Finland, Eero Saarinen immigrated with his parents to America when he was 13. His family settled in Michigan where he studied sculpture and furniture design.
