Bubble Chandeliers: Clear or Marbled Glass? How to Choose
The photograph that sells a bubble chandelier is taken with the switch off, against a blank wall, with nothing else in the frame. In a real room the same cluster hangs above a table, in front of a window or a painted wall, and it is looked at unlit far more often than lit. That is the choice worth making slowly: not whether you like a cloud of glass globes, but how much of the room you want to see through the cloud.
These four fixtures are all clusters, and they separate along that line. Some globes are clear, so the mass behaves a little like a window and the wall continues behind it. Others are veiled, so the cluster reads as an object with a surface of its own. Widths run from a compact 18 inches to 29.25, and inside them the light is either one glow or several — a difference you notice every evening. The rest is metal and drop.
Clear swirled glass, and what the metal does to it
Harmony Lighting's Amelia Medium Chandelier answers the transparency question first. In gild, clear swirled glass globes gather into a 29.25-inch cluster, 22 inches of body, hung on six feet of chain from a six-inch round canopy. Because the glass is clear, the cluster never quite becomes a solid: the swirled surfaces catch highlights and the wall behind stays legible between the globes. Six E12 candelabra sockets take six 6.5-watt LED B11 bulbs, so the light comes from several points in the frame rather than one sealed source.
The Burnished Silver Leaf version of the Amelia Medium Chandelier is the same fixture — same spread, same six bulbs, same chain — in a cooler metal. Set the two side by side and the metal is the only variable, which is exactly why they are useful together. Gild warms the whole arrangement and makes clear glass feel golden; burnished silver leaf leaves the glass nearly colourless so it reads as water. If your other metals are brass and bronze, the gild version settles in. If they are nickel, pewter or chrome, the silver leaf keeps the fixture from arguing with them.
When the globes are marbled, the cluster becomes a sculpture
The Nova Chandelier - Burnished Brass takes the other route. Its globes are marbled glass — pale, clouded spheres gathered on a burnished brass frame, 27 inches across and 24.75 inches tall. Each globe is individually blown, shaped and sculpted by hand in a process the maker puts at roughly an hour, and the piece is credited to Schwung in Poland. The result is a cluster you read as a drawing rather than a transparent shell: the swirl inside every sphere gives the eye something to follow while the light is off, and the mass holds its shape against a plain wall instead of dissolving into it.

It is also the heaviest of this group at 38.4 pounds, and the only one whose description states compatibility with sloped ceilings. That last point matters if the room you have in mind sits under a vault, because the steep pitch of a ceiling is the reason many chandeliers are ruled out before the finish is even discussed.
The small cluster that changes height, not width
The Bubbles Pendant is the one to know if the room cannot take a 27- or 29-inch cloud. It measures 18 inches wide and 18 inches deep, with an overall height that runs from 26 to 71 inches, so the variable is the drop rather than the spread. That range is what makes it workable over a narrow table, in a hallway, or in a low room where a wider cluster would crowd the walls and the walkway. At seven pounds it is also by far the lightest here, against 26 for the Amelia and 38.4 for the Nova.

A second difference is worth noticing after dark. The Bubbles Pendant uses a built-in LED, with one 4-watt bulb in the main sphere lighting the cluster from inside, while the Amelia spreads six bulbs through its frame. One source inside a cluster reads as a slow glow that the surrounding globes pick up; several sources read as a field of small highlights. The pendant is offered in clear glass or an amber hue: clear keeps the cluster nearly invisible against a pale wall, while the amber gives the globes a colour of their own and turns the piece into a warmer lantern.
Choosing between air and object
If the cluster should almost disappear and let the room's architecture do the talking, the clear swirled Amelia in burnished silver leaf is the quietest of the four, and the same fixture in gild gives you the identical silhouette with warmth instead of coolness. If you want the chandelier to hold the wall and be worth looking at while it is switched off, the marbled Nova is the one that behaves like a sculpture, and it is the one that says it can hang under a sloped ceiling. If space or ceiling height is the constraint, the 18-inch Bubbles Pendant gives you the same bubble language at roughly two-thirds the width, with a drop that adjusts across a wide range and a single light to live with.
Before you settle on any of them, do the one measurement the photograph always leaves out. Hold a tape out to the full width of the cluster and stand under it at your table, then picture the bottom edge of the glass at the height you would actually hang it. The fixture you love in a picture is the fixture whose spread fits the room you are standing in.
