Sean Dix's designs don't have any signature look or defining features. His collections are actually defined by a lack such characteristics. He once said, "I don't believe in adding a superficial detail so that people will see something and say, 'That's a Sean Dix design.'"
Sean Dix was Born in Kansas, but he spent his childhood on the exotic Fiji Island in the Philippines. He is currently living in Italy; He opened his own design studio in Milan in 2000. Dix designed the Milan Haute Couture showrooms of Byblos and Moschino. Sean Dix's passion is designing chairs, which he actually collects.
Sean Dix has earned degrees in: sculpture, interior architecture, and design. "I spend a lot of time thinking about what needs to be communicated before I even begin sketching or creating the form."
